(not your average) wedding officiant

elopements / intimate ceremonies / classic weddings

Hey there, I’m Michael and I’m here to tell your story.

I get it. It doesn’t get much bigger than this. Your wedding day should be unforgettable, your ceremony should be magical. It’s dicey. You can let a friend or family member take a stab, or you can risk an easily forgettable service with a stranger. If you’re looking for a cookie cutter, cake in the box ceremony, I’m probably not your guy. But if you’re looking for a personalized approach from someone who’s committed to learning your story and telling it well, then I’d love to team up with you to provide a once in a lifetime experience for your special day.

Michael is so damn good at what he does… I’ll be on his team anytime.

“We wanted a small wedding that was focused on us and our love for each other, rather than the amount of money we spent or the number of guests we invited. We wanted to be surrounded by the trees and mountains and the people most important to us, and we wished our ceremony to reflect our story instead of a template based on someone else’s definition of love. And without a doubt, we got everything we wanted.

We originally thought that the beauty of the natural landscape and the gravity of the occasion would be enough to make the day special, but Michael helped us realize that the officiant stands at the heart of the ceremony – acting as a conduit for our promises to each other and wishes for our future. Michael has an extraordinary ability to create an atmosphere of love, laughter, and purpose. He took our words and wove them into an eloquent, loving, and hilarious testament of our commitment to each other. The significance of these spoken words cannot be overstated, as they mark the foundation upon which our life together will be built.

Leading up to the ceremony, Michael was very communicative and we joked over our mutual “over-clarification” tendencies. His preparation and attention to detail really showed how much he cares about his work. We had an interfaith wedding, and Michael earnestly and respectfully blended Jewish traditions into the ceremony, while eloquently explaining the meanings behind them. Michael’s love for the land upon which we were married was also beautifully reflected in his homily. We are incredibly grateful to Michael for crafting a ceremony that uniquely reflected our journey.  Michael, your words will forever hold a special place in our hearts.”

It’s all about the experience.

The vibe, the energy. As an officiant, it’s my job to set the tone for a potent day and new beginning.

We can’t imagine any way or anyone that could have made our wedding so special and so memorable. It was perfection. So many wedding officials just ‘show up’ for a couple’s special day, but Michael started working on our day months before… I’ve been to weddings where the official couldn’t even remember the names of the people they were marrying.

There was no template, no fill in the blanks with our ceremony, it literally was the wedding of [us]. Michael weaved the story of our lives, wrapped it in nature and blessed us with the wisdom of the first peoples. Michael has a gift and [we] are so happy that he shared it with us on our day.
